DESCRIPTION:Ready for a free, family-friendly adventure for school holidays?\nGrab your phone, follow the clues and explore Dwellingup as you search for hidden geocaches around town. Along the way, you will learn how geocaching works, discover new places and record the clue at each location. Complete the treasure hunt, return your map to Dwellingup Trails & Visitor Centre and collect a prize.\nHow it works\n\nRegister for this free school holiday activity\nMeet at the Dwellingup Trails & Visitor Centre at 10.30am.\nCheck in with Murray Youth for Youth and learn how to use the Geocaching App.\nFollow the suggested route to find caches.\nFind the clue at each location and record it on your map.\nReturn your completed map to the Visitor Centre.\nCollect your prize from the Visitor Center\n\nWho is it for?\n\nSuitable for ages 6+.\nYou can take part individually, with family or friends, or as part of a group.\nChildren under 18 must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult at all times.\nThis is a self-guided activity. The route includes road crossings, bushland and some uneven surfaces. Shire staff will not provide supervision along the route.\n\nEach group will need access to at least one smartphone or smart device with:\n\nthe Geocaching App downloaded\nGPS/location services turned on\n\nInstructions for downloading and setting up the app will be emailed to the main registered contact before the event.\nWhat to bring\nPlease bring:\n\na fully charged smartphone or device\nwater\ncomfortable enclosed walking shoes\na hat and sun-safe clothing\nsunscreen\ninsect repellent if needed\na portable phone charger if you have one (charging stations are also available at the Dwellingup Trails & Visitor Centre if needed)\n\nBefore you come\n\nThis is an outdoor walking activity. The route may include road crossings, sealed paths, grass, dirt tracks, bushland and uneven surfaces.\nPlease wear suitable footwear and consider whether the walking distance and conditions are suitable for you and your group.\nToilets are available near the Dwellingup Trails and Visitor Centre.\n\n
