Sustainable travel in Dwellingup

KEEP DWELLINGUP WILD

Dwellingup is a place shaped by water, forest, time and a welcoming community who call it home. Every visit leaves a mark, but with a few mindful choices, yours can be one that helps keep it wild for generations to come.

Whether you're here to hike, ride, paddle or simply unwind, thank you for travelling with care and respect, helping protect the forests, rivers and trails that make this place unforgettable.

LEAVE NO TRACE

The forests, rivers and trails that make Dwellingup so special are yours to explore and ours to protect together. As you adventure through Dwellingup and Lane Poole Reserve, we encourage you to follow the seven 'Leave No Trace' principles and always observe local signage and advice.

  1.  Plan ahead and prepare
  2. Travel and camp on durable surfaces
  3. Dispose of waste properly
  4. Leave what you find
  5. Minimise campfire impact
  6. Respect wildlife
  7. Be considerate of others

Together, we can keep Dwellingup #WildatHeart for generations to come.

CARE FOR OUR PARKS

Explore Responsibly

Adventure in Dwellingup comes with shared responsibility. A little preparation helps keep your experience safe and enjoyable.

If heading for the trails, check conditions on Park Alerts and choose routes that match your skills and experience. We recommend downloading the free Emergency+ app before you arrive to help in the event of an emergency.

Stay on designated tracks to protect wildlife and vegetation, and help prevent the spread of Phytophthora dieback by cleaning your gear before and after your visit.

When camping, be sure to purchase your firewood locally to avoid spreading Polyphageous shot-hole borer.

CARE FOR COUNTRY

Welcome to Noongar Country; home to the world's oldest living culture, dating back 60,000 years. Dwellingup is in the tribal region of Wilman and is recognised as a sacred, spiritual dreaming place.

As you explore our region, take the time to connect with country and learn about its rich Aboriginal heritage and culture.
