Explore the interpretive centre and the walk trails, learning about wildflowers, animals and resources of the forest. A tree-top viewing platform allows visitors to enjoy the bush at canopy height and a handmade timber cutter’s hut and campfire area can be reached from one of the bush trails.
The Forest Discovery Centre welcomes the local community and visitors. Opened in 1995, the centre is recognised for fine wood craft, the environmental interpretive centre and walk trails. It's a vibrant regional hub nurturing learning and creativity in the arts, natural environment and local heritage. The unique leaf-shaped building, set on 17 hectares of Jarrah forest, is1 km from Dwellingup town centre. Just follow the Emu Walk Trail from town. The Centre includes a retail gallery and shop showcasing quality wood craft, arts and furniture.
