Nanga Bridge and Bob’s Crossing Closure in Lane Poole Reserve. ⛔️
The @shireofmurray and @mainroadswesternaustralia have closed the Nanga Road Bridge in Lane Poole Reserve effective immediately. With the added closure of Bob’s Crossing by @exploreparkswa due to high water levels, this will create some access issues for our #WildatHeart visitors.
All adventures have a story 😊 and you can still access the beautiful Lane Poole Reserve for your next adventure. 🌿
Entry to the north side of Lane Poole Reserve via Park Road is still easily accessible from Dwellingup. River Road remains open with Dwaarlinjirraap day use area, Baden Powell, Charlie’s Flat, Island Pool, Tony’s Bend and Yarragil campgrounds easily accessible from Dwellingup (north side of the river). No issues here. 🙌
The Nanga Bridge closure will impact those looking to travel further south in Lane Poole Reserve, seeking access to @nangabushcamp, @treesadventurelanepoole, @dwellingupadventuretrails, Nanga Mill, Nanga Brook and Townsite, Stringers and Chuditch campsites. With Bob’s Crossing also closed, the Nanga Brook area (south of Nanga Bridge and Murray River) can only be reached via @visitwaroona on Nanga Brook Road. ⛺️
This diversion adds about ten minutes for those travelling from @visitpinjarra, and about 50 minutes for those having to divert from #Dwellingup. 🚗
Your challenge – if you choose to accept it – take your time, breathe in the fresh air, country roads and enjoy the stunning ride. 🌳
