Hotham Valley Railway Anniversary Festival

The Hotham Valley Tourist Railway is one of the most popular attractions in the Murray region.  As a remnant of the early pioneering days of the timber industry, the Hotham Valley Tourist Railway gives visitors access to some of the Murray region’s most picturesque views from their carriage windows and is a reminder of the region’s living history.

This September, join Hotham Valley as they celebrate their 50th Anniversary Festival – a family friendly event for train lovers of all ages!

There’ll be railway displays, market stalls and food trucks to enjoy as you explore the unique charm of these heritage locomotives. Northern Districts Model Engineering Society of Perth will be attending with their Steam Vehicles, too! Plus, you can also head aboard the 1919 Vintage Dining Car for a Devonshire Teas on Platform 3. The Murray Districts Carriage Driving Club & the 10th Light Horse Regiment WA is holding a special show on the Dwellingup Town Oval from 9am onward to coincide with this great family friendly event.

Both the iconic Steam Ranger and Forrest Train will be departing Dwellingup Station at 10:30am and 2pm. Make sure you pre-book your tickets directly with Hotham Valley Railway so you don’t miss your chance to experience a ride aboard a heritage train in the heart of the forest.

Bookings for train services are essential, as tickets always sell out on this celebratory weekend.
Keep up to date with the latest news, event updates and on Hotham Valley Tourist Railway‘s website.
